Our Health and Safety Policy serves as a guide to help us achieve a safe workplace, foster a culture of care and ensure regulatory compliance. According to this policy, the safety of our employees is our top concern, incorporated into every decision, with precise objectives and the ultimate goal of achieving zero injuries in the workplace.
In line with our KANSAI HELIOS Group 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, we aim to maintain a Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF) rate of 1.5 or less. Our focus on safety extends beyond our employees to external contractors, visitors and partners.
Environmental management
Our environmental awareness is at the forefront of our agenda and we are proud of our unwavering commitment to environmental care . Almost all of our locations are certified to ISO 14001:2015 , which is proof of our commitment to environmental management systems. Our commitment is further reinforced by the fact that several companies in our group, including CWS POWDER COATINGS and KANSAI HELIOS Austria , proudly own EMAS certificate. KANSAI HELIOS Slovenia now offers several different products made from sustainable raw materials that are ISCC Plus certified throughout the value chain all the way back to the point of origin.
Two of our companies have passed the Ecovadis assessment and are ranked in the top 15% of more than 130,000 assessed companies worldwide . Our goal is to consistently improve our score by introducing sustainable practices and ultimately have all companies within our group recognized on the Ecovadis platform.
Our commitment goes beyond declarations; this is visible in our concrete sustainability goals. We aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% and reduce water and energy use by 20% by 2030. We are also committed to reducing waste production by 30% , thereby confirming our promise to minimize our environmental footprint .
In the product management segment, we are dedicated to the responsible management of chemicals, the development of sustainable products and the promotion of safe handling practices. Our focus on innovation and research is directed towards pioneering solutions that not only meet regulatory standards, but also exceed them, thereby minimizing the impact on the environment. Our commitment to innovation is key, especially in creating products that comply with REACH and increase safety for people and the planet.
Additionally, we are proud participants in Responsible Care® , a global chemical industry initiative aimed at improving environmental, health and safety performance. This program emphasizes continuous improvement, resource efficiency, transparent reporting, stakeholder engagement, regulatory cooperation and the promotion of responsible chemicals management throughout the product chain.
