Floor Expert quartz sand
Dry quartz sand of high purity (free of organic impurities, rounded edges, uniform light color and monocrystalline structure. To be used as a filler in mortars and as a spread in flooring systems based on epoxy and polyurethane resins.
Characteristics:
- Defined grain division
- High chemical purity
- Rounded edges
Packaging:
25 kg bag
Application:
- Spreading “grain to grain” on the primer in thin-layer flooring systems, to improve the adhesion of the next layer and achieve anti-slip properties: 0.5–1.0 kg/m 2
- Broadcasting to saturation on epoxy mortars, to increase layer thickness and improve mechanical resistance and achieve an anti-slip surface: 4–6 kg/m 2
- Filler in self-leveling epoxy coatings (50% addition): approx. 0.7 kg/m 2 per 1 mm thickness
Granulations:
- 0.1 – 0.3 mm
- 0.1 – 0.5 mm
- 0.3 – 0.8 mm
- 0.6 – 1.2 mm
System:
It is used for filling and as a spread in Floor expert EP and PU flooring systems.
See our system solutions here.
Instructions for use:
- As a filler for impregnations and mortars:
- Gradually add while mixing with a slow-speed electric mixer into the mixture (A+B)
- As a sprinkle:
- Evenly sprinkle the surface with a fresh coat of impregnation or mortar. After hardening, remove excess sand and sand the surface if necessary.
